I would love to fit a crank drive kit (like the Sunstar So2 was/is) and I was wondering if there have been any new developments recently?

Don't want to be doing that. But the Sunstar fitted to the bottom bracket without any frame mods.

There's also the Cyclone kits, rather crude compared to the Panasonic, Yamaha, Daum and Bosch units.

Cyclone

There's also some variants based on the Cyclone system, but I can't recall the names offhand.

This is the american ECOSPEED motor on Eric's recumbent trike. Unfortunately I've lost Eric's contact details so if anyone knows Eric please ask him to get in touch!. I think he's in Yorkshire!

I hope someone is going to chip in with a Gruber Assist. Be nice to hear about one of them.

Thanks Flecc. I do remember reading that thread and thinking it would be no good for my recumbent as it don't have a seat post! ...
