Is Shimano Hollowtech 2 BB compatible with BBSHD?

I could be wrong here as I’m no pro.. but I think the ID of HT BB is 24mm so too small.

Aren't the bearings just screwed into a standard bottom bracket shell? Never used a
Shimano Hollowtech but that is how the FSA range worked.

A very quick google gives me images of screwed bearing cups. Shimano's own literature talks about moving the bearings outside of a standard 68mm bottom bracket shell. It will fit.
