Hi,

I am planning to buy MTB style e-bike through my employer cycle to work scheme (using cyclescheme.co.uk). I've done a bit of research it seems the Kudos Tornado getting good reviews, however I am not sure whether it will fit me (I am 6'2'', 93kg) and whether there is a possibility to buy it at the £1000 (I know the RRP is £1095) which is the maximum price for the cycle to work scheme.

Any input would be appreciated. I live in Watford, it seems the nearest dealer is in Surrey which is quite far and not sure f they participate in the cyclescheme.

Regards,
R

Also you might find the Typhoon a better fit as it is a bigger bike.

Good morning,I believe the cycle to work scheme has been increased to £1500.00,but the cost of using the cycle to work scheme company adds 12 per cent to the cost of the bike.
The Typhoon or Escape bikes would be a better fit on your height.

all cycle to work schemes (Halfords, Wiggle, Cyclescheme etc) only do up to £1,000 vouchers.
If it's own company scheme, there is no limit to the amount.

Be careful with the size, 18inch frame sounds a lot too small unless you have very short legs.
The small frame sizes of a lot of electric bikes are what made me use a kit though I realise that isn't possible with the cycle to work scheme.
I'm 6'1" and 32" leg with long arms and use a 21" frame at least.
I still have the seat set quite high.
You do need to try first, don't forget that a smaller frame also brings the handlebars nearer to the seat.

I'm 5'11" and around 80kg and I'm quite happy on my Kudos Tourer, although I prefer the adjustable handlebars on my old Claud Butler hybrid. It comes in under the £1000 credit limit and e-Bikes Direct shipped it direct to my door.
