Is it worth working on or should I upgrade?

Hey all,

So, Have a potential issue - I bought a Claud Butler Haste E 27.5 2023 Electric MTB back in January 2023.
Had it pulling a Burley traiiler for all that time and bar the odd puncture not really had any big issues with the bike.

Over the last couple of months I've noticed a massive pull back in power when pedalling (pedal assisted) - doesn't happen all the time its quite hit and miss but also happens when battery is fully charged. Seems to run ok and then when pedalling just seems to be dropping power, then kicks back in and drops again constantly.

Started leaving the battery inside now the weathers cold (bikes in an outhouse locked away). But wondering if I could potentially need a new battery or if its time for a bike upgrade?

I've never had a proper tinker around but from looking online if not the battery then its pointing to either motors, sensors or something else. I just don't want to spend a fortune on fixing it if an upgrade would be a better idea (I have the option via cycle2work scheme) but if its gonna be cost-effective enough to fix I'd be willing.

Nothing is broken and nothing is failing. You either have a connection issue somewhere or the pedal sensor is slipping or knocked out of alignment. Which type of pedal sensor do you have?

Start by checking that the motor connector is in ALL THE WAY TO THE LINE, not just in tight.
