With 26" wheels or bigger, 24v just doesn't cut it for hills, but you should be OK with small wheels because you get proportionally more torque. The 10Ah battery limits you to about 15 miles, but you can buy batteries on Ebay and Aliexpress with more capacity.

My old bike, throttle broke, Controller enclosed in Battery case. Motor seems to run Ok but cannot find anyone with the expertise to find out whats' wrong. I live at the End of England. I was looking at this https://www.thesportshq.com/cycling/electric-bikes/cyclamatic-cx4-pro-folding-electric-bike. Came off my 28" a couple of times so downgrading. A bit hilly down here , would this 24v. be up to it?
Likely an easy fix replacing the throttle.
Show us a pic of the throttle, the wiring will simply disconnect form the controller which you should be able to manage.

I hve tried on this site for help before but here goes. Broke my Thumb Throttle, 3 wired one. Had another 3 wire one but did not work. Had various 5 wire one, tried various combinations but no luck. Got lucky with one combination but bike took off and hit gate. No real damage. With 3 wires of a 5 wire controller wheel spins at full speed but cannot be controlled. The controller is built into the Battery case, so can't get at that to measure anything. Shame to dump everything, but there is noone in this part of the world with knowledge. Have tried Local sites & FB.

What bike was it ?
The three wire ones are usually easy to get working as long as the sequence is wired correctly so Gnd - Gnd , 5v - 5v and sig - sig. You can't always go by colour so post up pics of the controller throttle wires and the throttle wires.

As vfr has mentioned in the past the one real exception is the Powabyke's they have a reverse throttle so the magnets have to be reversed.

Look at the Woosh Rambletta which is a bit more at £849 , but more up todate . The advantage of that Folder is suspension at both ends , disadvantage is 24V and high bar to get your feet over for a small bike , the `funny` battery position and very minimal mudguards .. Whatever you get make sure it has` Walk Assist` which is handy for a really steep hill . I have a 10 year old Batribike Quartz with 24V which is `old hat ` as Ebikes have progressed to 36 V and 48 V now . Rather than struggle on a steep hill I dismount and use the ` Walk Assist`which on this model is the throttle , some have buttons .

It's a 3year old Cyclamatic., going great untill my mishap. The 1st is the 3 wire Throttle that I broke. I bought an Identical one but it doesn't work. The second pic is a 5 wire Throttle and if I connect Red/Red, Black/Black, Blue/White the motor spins at full speed as soon as the Red Button is depressed, no control with Throttle.

Why did you connect the green wire in the 5 wire one? I would have said blue was the signal wire.
You are correct, it's the White/Blue combination that drives the motor, 30 to 40. I was expermenting with the other wires and left it as you saw in the photo. This combination brings a flashing Display.

I check the power on the old throtle wire R.B. W. I noticed that I got 4.5v on the Red/White wires. So I connected from the old Black to New Black ,old Red to New white, and old White to New Red and it works!!!
