I am currently looking for insurance for my Stromer ST1x, which seems to be impossible. I've been fine for the past 3 years with bikesure, though now all big insurers seem to say 'there is no market for it'. This despite Stromer having gone through the motions of having the bike listed so it comes up in the dropdowns of comparison sites. I am at a complete loss - I've tried bikesure, lexham, bennetts, policylink - you name it. Even BIBA (the British Insurance Brokers' Association) keeps referring me back to bikesure.

Any help/pointers would be much appreciated - thank you!

Try applying for a 'riders' policy? may go under a different name now but its an insurance policy aimed at someone who rides a number different bikes. iirc generally they only are interested in the largest most powerful bike you intend to ride for quotation purposes wink wink.. been a couple of decades since i had motorcycle cover so things may have changed..

Try Barclays .
Start with dummy for house insurance.
Add bike insurance.
Not 110 per cent sure how they qualify bikes but i get insurance for gazelle 3500 pound S for 30 per year!!
Delete house insurance
No doubt a computer glitch but I double checked and have details of call and contemporary notes.
Good luck

Thank you! Unfortunately, that's not my issue - I need third party insurance - it is on my home insurance already.

Have you tried checking out insurancecloud.co.uk? They might have some options that other insurers haven't mentioned. It's worth a shot, especially since you've already tried so many others. Good luck, and I hope you find the coverage you need soon!

Hi Mark! Yes, I am (painfully) aware of this - I believe you have been in touch with Rafael about it. The infuriating part is that we both have the same bike, were both insured with Bikesure and they re-insured him but not me. They now say his renewal was 'a mistake'...
