Hi I have NEVER had a problem with a customer wearing a helmet But my bikes do 30 MPH+ I would NOT Argue with a customer if he don't want to wear a helmet that is his wright

I supply one with every Bike If the customer gives it away OK I still sleep at night

I total agree about insurance NOT being compulsory my point is that it should be a lot cheaper and more available like Free on your household insurance as a listed Item

Like An expensive non electric Bike

It's good to hear that you make helmets available to those who choose to wear them. Very safety conscious.

Do you also pay the same regard to your customer's safety when it come to the law? For instance, have your 30 MPH+ bikes undergone an SVA? Do they comply with Construction and Use Regulations? Shouldn't you insist that your customers wear a helmet, because aren't they effectively using a motor vehicle? Surely you must have third party liability insurance, if not you will be committing the offence of permitting the use of a motor vehicle without insurance. The offence of Permitting probably applies to a whole host of other offences relevant to your bikes. (During test rides)

But I'm sure that if you are conscientious enough to furnish your customers with a polystyrene brick to strap to their heads, you will have the Construction and Use covered.
