Hi DCUK6

We are limited for space. We will bring a Sirocco 2 and D8veh is going to return the Sirocco CD he has been trying for the last few weeks, but we won't be taking the Sirocco I don't think.

Firstly, a big thank you for organising all this, and looking forward to tomorrow.
Can you pls advise whether visitors should bring thir own hemets or does the centre rent them out?

Also, if anyone wants to specially try a Woosh perhaps they can post here what they would like to try as we can't bring everything.

Thanks.

Hatti
Hatti,we recommend everyone brings their own helmet, but we will have some spare helmets for those who have forgotten or impulse testers. The centre does have helmets but I think these are for use when renting centre non assist bikes.
Look forward to tomorrow.

Yes,be interesting how you go up the hills against an ebike?
Obviously we don't want the day to extend too much into non assist bikes but I can't see how the odd one cab do any harm.

It can't be that hilly can it? https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=IG6+3HP&hl=en&ll=51.604811,0.134733&spn=0.003692,0.00648&sll=52.8382,-2.327815&sspn=3.623049,6.61377&hnear=IG6+3HP,+United+Kingdom&t=h&z=16

I'd have found it mildly amusing lapping the e-bikes on my racing bike. Someone could make all the e-bikes look a bit pointless, but that would be missing the point and best left to people like the BBC to pull such a stunt.

Had a really good day today. Excellent weather too.
Thanks to all the stall holders, really friendly.

Managed to test a few bikes.

The Woosh Sirocco Sport was a really nice bike and seemed to meet most of my requirements, also tried the Sirocco CD which was also brill but a bit too heavy and felt like I was too upright.

Tried the Kudos King which was good but lacked the throttle which I would miss.

The big surprise to me was the GoCycle, I didn't expect much from this bike but it was excellent and put a smile on my face. Even had the confidence to try out counter steering. The one thing preventing a purchase however is the small range on them.

Tried the enduro which again was good but it sounded like it was munching the gears every time you change.

I found that a 24-25 kg CD seemed to match a 21kg hub bike up the hills. The CD however felt like it accelerated much quicker when flat, guess its where it's using the lower gear so gets into the higher rpm quicker.

Also found out my left wrist can't really twist for a left handed throttle so that save me buying something that would find easy to use.
