just had a 32 mile round trip yesterday on my kalkhoff disc. The battery is now nearly two years old, and I had 3 lights left after trip which was fairly hilly, one hill 1 1/2 and another about 2 miles using mid and high power all the way. I am fairly confident that I could have got 60 miles+ out of the battery if I wanted, I find this pretty impressive on a 2 year old battery.Had reservations about its 5 year claim, but beginning to think it is quite possible.

I share your confidence in the BMZ 18ah battery, mine also being two years old but showing no loss of capacity.

Likewise the Panasonic 10ah which came with my Kalkhoff Sahel Pro Disc, three years old and still showing full capacity....twenty-seven miles on medium assist just the other day.

Concur. Two years now, not a single issue in all that time.
Anyone know if the 25ah is the same high quality? Might be too early to tell, I suppose.

+1.
I replaced my 2 year old Panasonic battery with the Kalkhoff 18ah (it was fine just wanted more range).

Not noticed any deterioration in two and a half years since, although it has had an easy life and not been used for daily commuting.

I'll probably go for the 25ah one some time in the future. Hopefully my old Pro Connect will keep going for a long time as I've no wish to upgrade to one of the newer more powerfull bikes.

The lower power suits my riding style perfectly.

My 5 year 3 month old 10Ah Panasonic battery is still going strong. It copes with my 20 mile round trip comute very well. I reckon it would be good for about 30 miles.
