Help !

I've been using the import duty calculator at
New Import Duty & Taxes Calculation | DutyCalculator
for quite a while now to work out the potential extra costs when buying ebike parts from China.

A great and easy way to work out the import duty and VAT, but It's just hit me with the message "Sorry, you have no free calculations left, Log in, buy credits or upgrade your account to get more calculations".

I hadn't realised it was a limited time freebie. I've been googling round for another free alternative, but with no success so far. The main .gov website seems a nightmare, like filling in a bl**dy income tax return ! :(

Does anyone know of another free online calculator, or failing that, a free downloadable prog ?

It tells you that you have 5 free shots. Have you tried clearing your cookies and trying it again?

Edit: Forget it, I just tried it, it didn't reset to 5 shots.

They're probably storing my IP address then.

I'll restart my router, which usual gets a fresh IP, and try again.

Thanks for the reply, I was just wondering if anyone knew of a more permanent solution.

No, that didn't work either, I was wrong.

I changed my IP address be rebooting my router (and checked), and also deleted the cookies for dutycalculator.com.

I'm still getting the "no free calculations left" popup.

I guess they must have some page content from another URL with an obscure name, and that's the cookie that's grassing on me....

edit - wow, that was wrong too, I just tried Firefox instead of Opera (with a separate cache), and it's still spotting me. How are they doing this I wonder...

aha, got it now.

Delete cookies and reboot router.

They must be looking at both each time.

I've got my 5 freebies back....

Good man, where there's a will there's a freebie. ;)
