Another thing I'm concerned about.....
......If I get a puncture in the rear wheel, while out in the sticks, In view of the large display in the centre of the bars, will I be able to turn the bike over without damaging the display unit ?

Yep no probs, if you can just slack it off a bit and put a big of rag on the screen.
