If UK roads were treated like cycle lanes

I think those changes would suit some drivers, judging by how they drive at present! :D

I was in arbroath today , and yes they have cycle paths running along side roads,( you know the type white line running along road to separate cyclist from cars ect ) trouble is 90% where filled with parked cars i had to use the road.:mad:

The trouble is often the law. If the cycle lane is bounded by a broken white line, it's advisory and it's perfectly legal for drivers to park on the cycle lanes.

If the white separating line is continuous, the lane is mandatory and it's technically an offence to park on it. However, that depends on whether the local authority has passed a Traffic Regulatory Order for that specific lane, they haven't always.
