I think there may be more than a little truth in this

Came across this today and though it's attributed to the Dalai Lama, I don't know whether or not he really said it but I think there's a lot of truth in his wisdom.

Or as we might say:

Man sacrifices his health to make money, then he sacrifices money on an e-bike to recuperate his health.

Yes, he did say this, saw him in Manchester. He is a very wise man, great speaker but does contradict and speaks in riddles that you spend half the night trying to figure out. My quote for the night....'life is like a ten speed bike, most of us have gears we never use'

As we are all in philosphical mode, here is my ode to an e-bike designer,
(apologies to Rudyard Kipling):

If you can find an e-bike
for hill or vale or moor,
That overtakes all others
Yet doesn't flout the law,
If you can get this bike to fold
in just a single click,
With frame so light and ride so right
it doesn't miss a trick,
If you can get this bike to take the heaviest of us all
Yet also suit the rest of us,
slim, or short, or tall....
If you can make this bike so 'cool'
in colour and in style,
That older folks still like it
But the young don't run a mile,
If you can make its battery get to Jon O' Groats and back
And never fail to keep its charge
or give you other flack,
And make this e-bike nice and cheap,
reliable, but fun......
Your's is the Forum and all that's in it
And - which is more - you'll be a man my son!
