Has anyone got a good suggestion for hydraulic brake switches?

You can buy these at over £50 a pair or use a reed switch in the grip and a magnet on the pack of the lever, or plead with Wisper for their ones that aren't on sale yet.

Your magnetic switch looks interesting. How close does the magnet need to get to the grip before the switch closes? Do electic scooters have a hydraulic pressure switch on the brakes?

I used a little glass reed switch and a neodymium disc magnet about 10x1mm. It switches at about 1cm distance. You need to experiment a bit to find the ideal position for greatest distance. The cranked levers are best because the middle comes closer to the grip.

Most motorbikes/scooters use a micro-switch in the lever, but cars use a hydraulic switch, so you could use one of them. You'd need to make adapters and T into the brake line, which is a little complicated.

Kudos have hydraulic brakes with cutout switches fitted on some of their bikes. They might supply you a set if they have stock spare.

We've settled upon Hygia hydraulic brakes, mainly because of the robust, contact-less switch used. The set adds £149 to the price of a Sport or Classic bike and we will be selling the kits to upgrade earlier models, or even to non-Juicy Bike owners, may God have mercy upon them!

We sell them for £16 a pair when bought with one of our hubkits.
They come in two types: 3-pin with yellow plug and 2-pin with red plug.

You can find them on ebay too.

If you only need the cheap bit, go with Woosh.
But if you need the whole kit ours is a complete set of Tektro (rotors, calipers, pre-filled tubes and brake levers complete.
But as our spares prices aren't designed to be an income stream we only supply those to Juicy owners.
Do you specifically want a Hygia part? I can dig out some Hygia parts for you, happily.
