If the dude was daft enough to lock it using quick release front wheel and leave the battery on then......

I always have a back pack on bike and take my battery with me, an alarm hidden under the seat that is awkward to get to might also have been enough to deter villain as they are bloody loud

I frequently hesitate before pulling the battery off my bike and going into the supermarket as i glance around and see another ebike often with its battery still in place.. But then i think that any thief will go for the bike with a battery first and pull mine off and lug it with me..

It's 4.5kg I could do without carrying too but not so bad in a back pack, needs must when there are so many thieving b@stards out there....even a locked Hailong can be kicked off in seconds unless you go to town with straps and locks around it
