Hi all,
I have a multimeter and would like to measure the range I have left on my battery. What setting do I select and where do I place the pins?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your response have a Powacycle PumaTell us the bike as some systems won't give a voltage reading.
Physically you can't actually measure the range left, you can get a voltage reading on which you can make a rough estimate of how far you might go.
For a voltage reading set the scale to DC, this means turn the dial to the LHS where it should have a V -- over …, set the dial to 200v. On the bottom the probes need to be in the correct holes, Red one on the left V ohm mA and the Black probe in the middle COM hole.
On the base of the battery of the battery are the discharge pins often they are labelled + + -, Red probe to plus and Black to minus. Don't let the metal probes touch each other or short the pins out.

Thanks TrevorHow do I calculate Watts used per mile
I know the voltage before & after ride & mileage is this sufficient information? I have a 52v 17.5Ah battery. 100% = 58.8v 0% = 42v so 16.8v range. if I start at 55.5v (55.5v-42v/16.8v = 80%) & use say 15% of the battery to cover 15 miles I can compare different assist levels But without...www.pedelecs.co.uk
