How on Earth Do I Mount My Battery

eBike kit arrived today. I bought this battery (http://eclipsebikes.com/116ah-lithium-frame-battery-samsung-cells-p-1105.html). It says it can be mounted using a water bottle holder. How exactly does this work? The battery is fairly big and I don't know how it would fit in a water bottle holder.

Looking to mount it to this new bike I got from Halfords (http://www.halfords.com/cycling/bikes/mountain-bikes/carrera-vengeance-mens-mountain-bike-2015). Bike hasn't been purchased yet but will be soon.

no it will use the screw mounts for a bottle holder not put it in 1 lol

Ah are these a universal type of screw mounts? Do they vary from bike to bike?

You mount the battery cradle/base unit with M5 bolts to the water bottle fixings, the battery mounting has elongated slots so they can be fitted where you wish to have it positioned.

If the bottle mounts can't accommodate the battery then try rivnuts - alternatively some stout cable tie ;-)

Your decision to abandon building and selling ebikes was a wise one. When you can answer these questions rather than asking them you may well be nearer the first step to assembling simple things.

I have a similar battery mounted on downtube but have added an extra rivnut
for a bit more strength. but I charge the battery in situ.

but would suggest either long cable ties from screwfix, wilcos do a stoutish Velcro luggage strap
I do this because your battery is about 3kg if you hit a pothole you cold damage the mounting plate or worse.
