How much weight do you lose on a e-bike ride?

Enrique:

You can gain weight riding an ebike, you can lose weight riding an ebike. As my friends have said, diet is possibly more important anyway, but in terms of calorie burning my advice would be to throw away your calculators and tables. It's all about EFFORT. If cycling is very easy, you're probably using too much power assistance. If it's very hard, you've probably got a flat battery.

You can gauge your own levels of effort, and as d8aveh (forget now how he spells it!) says, your fitness and body's demand for food will rise and fall along with the increased effort you put in.

Allen.

I can see winter being hell to be honest.
Hence why I might swap the Ebike for a a train pass.

I love using the bike though, pays for my lunch every day at £4 a pop!
It depends where you are of course but winter isn't any less comfortable to ride in than summer, have decent layers and adjust as necessary. You'll need more clothing but I've found the Lidl/Aldi stuff more than adequate for riding in freezing temperatures.
I find commuting by ebike more comfortable than commuting by motorbike, sometimes I don't realise how cold it is until I see people warming their hands on their engines at the lights.

Supose the difference is your excercising really to keep warm. Rather than the barrage of cold that you get on a motorbike at a higher speed.
