Depressingly, I think that I know exactly where the track in the first photo is. Not good conditions to ride in. You did well.

Good luck cleaning the chalk and clay from the bike. :(

I've visited the Chattri monument a few times now, and I'd love to know why it what positioned there, and not closer to Brighton. A fascinating and quiet place to visit on a hot summer day. :)

Bike already cleaned and prepped for re use, hose pipe, Muck off cleaner& Muck off MON 94 protection after spray does a good job of putting on a sheen and dispelling excess hose water.
I didn't take a shot of the lake that went side to side of the track and about 30ft in length before the one I eventually took.
Chattri was built on the spot because the soldiers were actually cremated right their in front of the structure by the steps. On the landing just above the very first flight is an oblong stone that can be seen, there are 2 others one to each side which marks the place where the pyres were lit to cremate them. As you say a strange place for it to be even stranger to cremate them their, I doubt if many form the Indian community even get up there to visit.
Also thought it would be quiet up there today got that wrong, ramblers, dog walkers and horsey people no other bikers though.

Doesn't look to dissimilar to one I rode through today, really enjoyed it today despite the tough conditions. Not for SW though no tarmac to ride on ;).

I have added thicker 2mm black PVD spring bars (they come with silver) so it can go on a NATO like the gen ProHunters and with the new, spare bezel insert.

no lol bet its cheaper tho ;)

I still really rate my Fenix BT20, as it has a wide spread of beam when compared to the Ebay Cree lights. The downside is that the battery pack is just two 18650, and they don't last very long. I take a spare set along which is a pain, and I can't bring myself to cut the wires to put on a bigger pack. Annoyingly the male/female connector is back to front when compared to the cree lights.

I'd rather let you borrow mine than buy one though, just in case you decide that you don't like it. I suspect that it isn't a light that everyone is going to take to, especially if you like Cree lights. The light is quite yellow in comparison.

I'm still also using the Cree light, but just a single cree when out with the Fenix. Battery life is still an issue, as you need the six cell packs, to get an evening of riding in.

One light that has really impressed me recently, is the Lezyne micro usb light. The lad that I ride with, nicked the one from his wife's bike, and he now hardly uses anything else. It can be seen in use on the clips in the link below.

You are correct, I have two. George used to come and do our gardening, and gave me the watches, as a thank you for allowing him to weed the flower beds around the moat. He never got the hang of picking the moss out from the joints in the crenellated walls though. :(

Thanks for the reply Eddie
The BT looks pretty good and not costing a fortune. I have a couple of decent small backup lights so one BT would do the trick.
I'll read some online reviews over the next day or two and maybe take up you offer to try yours one evening. Or maybe I'll just order one and give it a go.

Ta Ian

I had forgotten about another negative with the Fenix BT20. You will need a battery charger that takes individual 18650 batteries. The light doesn't come with one, and by memory, it might not even come with batteries.
You might want to check before making any decisions.

This light seems to be attracting some good reviews. http://www.mbr.co.uk/reviews/lights/magicshine-eagle-m2-2400-light-review
