It is a bit too late now, but I was going to suggest that if buying a chest mount, go for a decent one. From my experience of owning a cheap one, the elastic stretches at the first opportunity, and you could end up constantly having to adjust it.
I'm anti helmet mounted cameras, simply on the grounds of risk of damage when riding through woodland with low branches, and also risk of neck damage if the camera does get caught up.
Aluminium handlebar mounts seem to be a very good option, but care needs to be take in respect of preventing the microphone from picking up any cable slap noise from brake/gear/fork remote etc.
A handy hint when fitting the parts of a mount together when dealing with opposing plastic faces, rub the mating faces with some wet and dry, to take the sheen off. It helps eliminate any movement.
Quite an old clip in the scheme of things, but I do like the set up on this clip by Seiler Tom of my yearly two week summer play ground.
