Tesco Hopper blue £420
Just in case anybody is interested I would like to share my early experiences on the purchase of the Tesco Hopper.
Placed order on tesco web site on a Sunday bike arrived by courier on the Tuesday well packaged but no communication of arrival time just a guide on the tracking order number ( box size 34"x16"x27" )
Internal packaging good on unpacking bike small scratch on front fork but acceptable .
Assembly of bike easy just a few bits to add like front and rear reflectors, bell and front and rear Lights ( these items not listed on web ).
Couple of points to note are on the web page it does not say you are getting the extras bit of a bonus, also it may be of interest to some people that ther seems to be a confusing frame measurement on there site states frame size as 11" I measured mine from crank centre to top of seat post was 16" don't know where they got there measurement from if you phone tesco they have no more info only what is provided on web page.
I did find that the lock for the battery is a bit fiddle and the frame lock at the bottom not obviose that you have to push the locking bolt downwards direction to close the frame also you have to register bike for warranty through Avocet limited time to register small white card fixed to bike not where you would expect to find it easily missed and thrown away with packaging.
Hope this info is helpfully to a new buyer will update my experiences when I eventually get it on the road.

When you put the battery on, you have to knock it forward with the heel of your hand to get it fully home for the key latch to engage.

You have to be careful with removal too. Unlock it, and then tap the front with the heel of your hand, whilst holding the handle with the other. If you don't hold it, it'll jump off and fall on the ground, which will crack the case.

Please let us know how it goes.

Hi thanks for that it seems to work doing as suggested I can see what you mean about catching the battery when taking out will have to fit a safety line onto the handle does this get any better with use I presume the catch is not inline with the hole is it worth slight mod to the hole.

Sometimes they improve a bit. If they were too loose, they'd rattle, which would be annoying, so count your blessings.

Didn't think about them rattling so I will leave well alone for the time being.
