Good afternoon from deepest darkest Norfolk.
I've been reading the forum for some weeks now and it's
really opened my eyes to the world of e bikes.
Now I want one, l commute around 6 miles a day to
work not far I know but hey I still want one.
I currently ride a Cannondale quick 5 in a jumbo
size and I am leaning towards an OXydrive cst rear
kit, would this make a good fit ? any help and advice
would be awesome.

Best to go try some out to get a feel for what you want and need. There's such a lot of choice, it's the only way to know for sure. Happy hunting.

Slow response sorry, work an all.
It sounds like a great idea but there are few places
here in Norfolk. I took the plunge and have ordered the Oxydrive kit,
should arrive today or tomorrow for fitting at the weekend.
Fingers crossed it all goes ok, excited to join the ranks of
e bike riders.

Hi Chris
The Oxydrive kit arrived on Friday and me and my son
fitted the kit to my Cannondale quick 5 on Saturday.
The kit is good quality and being a kit we had to make
small modifications to the pas sensor and the lcd bracket
but nothing too difficult.
Performance wise it's very good although I have nothing
to compare it with, it cuts along nicely and I can put as
much effort in as I want so I still get my exercise.
All in all happy so far but I have only done about 10 miles.

Just in case you don't know, there's three levels of power and six levels of speed, which makes 18 combinations. The up and down buttons only effect the speed. You have to press the "set" button to change the power.

Yes it's very comprehensive and I can change the pas settings
on the move which is nice. It's my first e bike so all this stuff
is new to me and I am enjoying the learning curve.
It's an addictive experience and I can see me wanting more e bike's
in different styles.

I'm now considering this over the EBC kit at £425 as although £100 more it seems like a £100 well spent?

I can afford to go to £525 unless anyone else has some input or recommendations. I plan to purchase tomorrow.

My other option would be a full electric bike making use of the back to work scheme. I liked the look of the greenway but sadly it's not available on the scheme.

I agree, that was what has had me leaning towards the Oxydrive. It does look neater and not having to remove the pedal is a bonus.
