My Only experience with doing a conversion was using the kit from electric bike conversions,it cost £420,delivery was quick and well packaged and it's worked for over a year so far,plenty of other folk have used kits from a number of different suppliers with mostly good results,at the end of the day you have to decide for yourself.

For a heavy weight then a bpm kit will be powerful if you were 3 or 4 stone lighter a Q128 would be as good.

d8veh may extol the virtues of the Xiongda 2 speed geared winch hub and may well be ideal for a heavy weight, available direct from Xionda for a very good price. He used it when he was porkier then he is now.
