First of all I have to say I don't ride bikes, Never had a bike, And have no intention of wearing lycra ;-)
What I do have is a motorhome which I travel around Europe in. At the moment I have a very cheap fold up bike. but its hard work for me even though riding in Europe is flat and very easy compared to the UK.
Looking to buy an electric bike, But have no idea what. Price is not a big issue, But it will only be used to sight seeing and a bit of shopping, So distances travelled will be very minimal so I see no reason to spend a fortune.
I have tried a Bosch bike which was great but the price was a bit steep, Over £2000
If anyone can point me in which forum would be best to post on for suggestions and help with choosing the right bike to go for I would be most grateful.

Welcome! I see you haven't been to the Basque Country yet

There are many electric folders about or you could convert your current one if you have the DIY skills.

Buying blind over the internet even on the recommendation of others is just as silly as buying that Bosch.
So definitely make time to visit somewhere near (50+ miles is reasonable for many who visit us) and try out any bike you are considering before you part with your hard-earned.
Every rider is different, every bike has its quirks.

Well im a Yorkshire man so I won't be parting with my hard earned until im sure its what I want.
But this is why iv joined up here as getting good reviews on the internet is like trying to find a Yorkshire man that likes to give away his money;-)
So following my dads advice I thought id ask. What I think I need is a good independent shop near by (50-100 mile radius from west Yorkshire) so I can go and look and try out for myself. Even this task on the internet seems to come up with every thing but what I want.
Any ideas welcome.

Yes it looks about right for me. Price is right in fact it seems you get a lot for the money.
Can you tell me how easy is it to drop the handlebars, Whilst height isn't a great problem, any clearance I can get to make it easier to go in the garage would be a benefit.

Best if you give woosh a bell, they will give you all the info, I don't have one of there bikes, but from what I read on here, the big bear is a good bike with lots of grunt to go up the hills.

One more thing if this is the bike for you go for the one with the suntour seat post, it's only £40.00 more and you can't buy this seat post for £40.00 anywhere else, and it will help soak up the bumps.

Hi all.
Just an update. I have now tried out a few bikes with different drive systems.
I found the Bosch type drive very good as the bike seemed more stable, I suppose its because the low centre of gravity with that weight. Equally the front and rear wheel drive systems preformed well.
At the end of the day, If i had a specific job for this bike, Such as for Commuting ever day or for going off road for a bit of sport the decision would be a lot harder, And more research needed.
Because all I want it for is to sit in the garage of my motorhome more than it will be used;-)) So I have come to the conclusion that for me a bike is a bike. 2 wheels a saddle and something to hold on too. In the end it will come down to what I feel is comfortable, Ease of getting it in and out of the garage. And something that looks good and will get me noticed by the ladies ;-)
As I said not in a big rush to buy yet as I don't go away for a few months but I will come back and let you know what I bought and how it preformed for me.
