Hi I've seen on woosh the ebike conversion kits I'm thinking will my 29er wheels fit the 700c since they don't sell any 29er rear hub and I'll need a hydraulic brake sensor and could someone tell me how woosh hydraulic brakes work will I have to throw my current hydraulic brake or could I keep them on?

Or
Does anyone know any good competitors that are competing with woosh? Or something similar as I would really want a 29er rear hub motor. Max I would want to spend is 600 for something that goes 25mph and comes with everything I need including the battery

My bike:

Can you not just buy a motor and a rim and have a shop build it for you ?.

25mph is dangerous on a bicycle IMHO, I broke my wrist badly colliding with a badger, at less than half that speed:

Hope you're alright now man damn
It' s been 10 weeks and my wrist is still swollen. There is less pain, unless exercising to gain a greater range of movement, which I must do. My left wrist is in between two bags of frozen peas at the moment. It's the stopping that hurts lol ;)

Hello Abzy,

On the 29er tyres and rims: Choose 700C kits.

28" and 29" tyres have the same inner diameter, 622mm, but 29" tyres are wider and taller, typically 50mm wide, the end result is the outer diameter of the 29er tyres are about 1" bigger than the 28" tyres.

You should be fine fitting the average 29er tyres (like 622-50 or 700C x 50C) onto our 700C rims.
Both 28" and 29" rims have the same diameter, 622mm, it's only the width of the rims that is different. 29 rims are generally wider.

Let me know which tyres you use at the moment, I'll confirm for you whether they will fit properly.
BTW, all our kits are 250W and optimised for 15mph.
If you absolutely need 25mph, choose a BBS02 crank drive kit or a 1000W or 1500W direct drive kits. They are only for riding on private land though.

Best regards

Tony

Kenda 61-622 will fit the 700C rim, the main issue is more cosmetic than practical.
Do you go offroading a lot?

that's good to know because our 700C rim is 25mm wide, not good enough for offroading.
Can you check the rim width on your bike?

Alex rims
29"
ETRTO:622×20mm
6000 alloy/Cambodia
My seriously off road 2004 mtb has Mavic 717 rims which are ETRTO 559 x 17.

I use 2.25 tyres with no issues, and for one mad week in the Alps many years ago, a pair of enormous 2.5s!

I would try and see how it goes before swapping rims.

1. I have used narrower rims with proper wide mtb tyres, so my personal view is that ths width is not a red line. Might not be ideal, but ought to work.
2. If the inner tyre size is the same at 622mm for the 700c tyre and the 29er mtb tyre, logic says it should fit. BUT I do not have direct experience of that, so I cannot offer any guarantee. Here is an example of the opposite, though: road tyre on 29er rim:

Nope but I was thinking to make it tubeless but if I can't make it tubeless then I'm okay with it
you should not have any problem with fitting.
I've fitted a lot of Halfords 29er bikes.
Your tyres are 61-622, the perfect rim for it has 24mm-25mm inner width.
My 700C rim has 21mm inner width, 25mm outer width, well within the specifications.
