Help to test Panasonic pedelec motor

Hello,
Owner of a 2008 Kalkhoff pedelec, I think I have a problem with my panasonic motor.
While I was riding, it suddenly went off on a speed bump.

I tried to check the motor unit with a lab power supply. I connect the + on the red wire of the battery connector end the - on the dark wire of the battery connector . I do not connect the 3rd wire of the battery connector.
Doing this, I can power on the control unit (70mA under 26V), switch on the light (200mA under 26V), modify the assistance level. But when I turn the pedal, nothing append with the motor axis - my power supply is set to 26V and 10A..
So I conclude that I have a problem with the motor.
Am I right ? Is ther another test I can perform before opening the motor ?

It sounds like the motor has died. You can get plenty of information from my Panasonic support site, including the correct battery connections to use, shown on the Lithium Polymer battery page.

Use the new type unit pages, but some of the information on the old type motor can be relevant as well, particularly when stripping the unit.

Thanks for the informations. I also have a subjet open with the cyclurba forum.

I open the motor this afternoon. Nothing seems to be KO at a first inspection.

I connect the 3 phases of the motor all together and that block the motor. I measure also 0.3 ohms between the different phase. I think my motor is OK.

I want now to check :
- the hall effect sensor
- the torque sensor
- the MOSFET driver stage

Any idea on how to do ?

Hi,
To close this subject , I change the 6 MOSFETs that drive the motor and it solve the problem.
I'm the 2nd guy who performed this operation successfully - thanks to the other guy on cyclurba who performs this operation first !
