Help to identify 500-W motor please

Don't take your motor apart unless you have to. Maybe at 20,000 miles give it a re-grease. Some come apart easily - normally those with screws in the side. Those with scre-on sides can be a bit tricky unless you have the correct tools. The Q100 and Q128 aren't to bad to bodge, but the Bafangs with the dogs/slots are very difficult. The one in OP's first post apears to have two holes for which a special tool is needed to unscrew the side. There's no saying how difficult it is until tried.

That controllet should be OK at 48v.

the one with the two peg hole are very difficult to open , i used a camshaft holding, peg tool , and large vice, + extension bar, ( LOCAL GARAGE) . And a lot of swear words.

Thanks for the details about your controller John. Exactly the same as mine!
Quick Update:
I have now fitted the 48-V BMS Battery. No-load speed is now 27 MPH! Performance is good with 19 MPH into this morning's headwind. Any more than 19 MPH and there's a worrying 'rattling' sound out of the motor. I don't think it's the gears as it passes through the same rattle under no load. Hopefully it's just the controller protesting by cutting in and out or perhaps the feedback from the Hall sensors is getting out of sync....
