Help needed

Hello there I'm very new to biking and just wondered if any body can help me as I want to turn my mountain bike into an electric bike but I've been told that it can't be done due to the pedals hitting the frame. I want a motor that fits onto the pedals I'll attach photos but I'm stuck were or if it can be done. Any help would be grateful

The chainstays on your bike do looks too wide to fit a mid drive motor. It's a common problem with modern MTB's with small chainwheels and wide tyres.

Is there no way around it mate or is there another way to turn my bike into electric

You should be able to fit a rear hub motor.
