Help! Beginners easy dum question ( with picture)

How do i connect my battery (48V) to my controller, using the leads in the picture?

One is hooped, the other is just plastic wire.

I have a sinking feeling the answer is going to be cut off and solder.

Is there an alternative ( i dont have a soldering iron)

Cut off, solder and heatshrink is the only solution. If you can't do it, you have to find someone that can.

It's not difficult to do. I can walk you through it if you get a soldering iron, some 60/40 tin/lead solder and heatshrink sleeve about 5mm diameter.

Don't bare any wire until you're ready. If they touch, there will be a big bang. You do one at a time.
