Not wanting to raise thhe ole "should you, shouldnt you" debate

I just saw these and thought they are beautiful

I make no comment on safety or anything else. I just covet one (but not at that rpice unless the lottery win comes in)

A tortoise strapped to the head with a bungee cord would probably offer the same level of protection. It would certainly be cheaper!

Reminiscent of the first consumer motorbike helmet in the 1950s, The Corker, it was made out of compressed cork and just as useless as a wooden one would be.

LOL......Much as I love wood.....IF I wore a helmet, it certainly wouldnt be a wooden one........even WITH a nice patina :)

Had to look that up - bit before my time :)

They sure are ugly though. Some of these are really pretty.....but I fully accept I am an absolute sucker for wood. There is a chap in the states who makes really lovely mudgaurds out of various woods as well. The walnut on maple one for me please
