Finding my (electric) wheels

My wife and I have finally taken the plunge and ordered 2 Kahlkoff Agattu C8 Impulse bikes from 50Cycles. I've spent tens of hours scouring the internet for reviews and information, not least from this great forum, and finally visited 50cycles at Loughborough yesterday to view and try the bikes. They seemed to be just what we were after.

We decided to go electric after my wife had a hip operation about 10 weeks ago. She made a swift recovery and we managed to cycle about 50 miles in Italy a week or so ago, but she struggled on the hills (as did I!).

Can't wait to receive our bikes and will post again with our initial experiences.

BTW do you guys still use your non-electric bikes or just sell them?

Welcome Trigpup,

Congratulations on your new ebikes, I'm sure you will have a lot of fun.

I'd hang on to your old bikes, you may find that the increased fitness from regular ebiking will, in time make them useable again. With electric assistance you seem to get the exercise without noticing. Marvellous.

Welcome trigpup and ady347 to the forum. I'm also in Shrewsbury and bought an Agattu 3 years ago. I've never regretted it. Its just great fun. I rarely take the car into town these days as its easier to cycle. I've seen several ebikes around but never being ridden, always parked up. Seems I'll now be looking out for 3 more.:)

We have kept our non pedelecs and still use them. Enjoy the new bikes. I'm also from Shropshire by the way.
