Has anyone taxed a 45kph bike yet

I am interested in buying a Peugeot eu01s which can do 45kph

It is type approved and I can legally register with the DVLA

I have tried to get an insurance quote but cannot find a company to insure it so I can use it legally on the road.
One company needed a registration number to identify it. I cannot supply that so they couldn’t quote.
Has anyone with a Stromer registered it and uses it legally?

Can anyone help and recommend an insurance company that provides insurance for these bikes

Thanks

would you not be better buying a moped/electric scooter?

at 30mph on what is really an ordinary ebike is an accident waiting to happen
I have a Giant Road e+2 just now that I use for commuting.
I enjoy the cycling, this bike combines both but will cut my journey time down. The bike is built for the speed so I am comfortable with it

just get a dongle for it then and you should hit 35mph.;)

You might give Adrian Flux (providers of specialist and bespoke vehicle cover) a call. I obtained electric (battery) car cover from them without problems and they are good to deal with.

It's a type approved 30 mph bike with brakes and tyres to suit, like any other 30 mph motorcycle.

There are shops that I know have done it to sPedelecs.

What's worrying is the shop you're clearly looking at buying this from don't seem to be able to do it. They should be the ones sorting all the paperwork for you.
Have suggested a couple of insurers however they can’t find the bike.
Would be interesting to find out if anyone that owns a Stromer is using it legally
