Thanks for the account Mike, makes a strong argument for leisure cycling and it's why I love walking too. Both are far more interesting than the other forms of mechanised transport.

At Tewkesbury town hall a display by the battlefield society. Painting of the medieval banners which are displayed in the town every summer. All the banners are hand painted by volunteers. They represent the various nobles & knights who fought at the Battle of Tewkesbury in 1471.
Chatted to painters, supporters - all very enthusiatic.
Come and see the banners when they are up.

My life has no purpose no direction, no aim, no meaning, and yet I’m happy. I can’t figure it out, What am I doing right?

Perhaps it's that you are doing nothing wrong?

What you are doing right is accepting that your life has no purpose, no direction, no aim, no meaning. Many stress themselves by unnecessarily trying find those things, when none of them is intrinsic to life.

I'm not in any way religious, but the bible has an apt quote:

"Sufficient unto the day".

Sunny and warm here, Grand Daughter round, immediately gets her bike helmet "bike, bike, Ganddad".
A quick installation of the 'spare seat' on the CyclaMatic.
A very nice sedate safe ride to the park, with running commentary from the passenger...:D

So sorry Lynda,
I told my daughter about it today and she says she also saw you later as she was driving over the common!
Try using slime!

Not very sympathetic you southerners are you.... driving and cycling past.......I was there dancing around for hours.....had left my slime at home :D :D

Seriously, I have actually got some slime but would be scared stiff to use it......pressurised canisters seem a bit frightening....I just KNOW I would make a hash of it if I needed it in an emergency.........so please remember to stop the next time :)

Lynda :)
