Browsing in Halfords yesterday and noticed an e-bike stand with a range of e-bikes. The regional manager just so happened to be in and i was chatting to him. He said halfords were aiming to have about 30% of their bike range as e-bikes by 2020. This will include sit up and beg bikes, to full suss and road bikes.
He went on to say they are growing in sales due to their price point and people browsing thinking i just fancy a 15-30 minute ride, maybe even just during lunch and an e-bike would suit me.
At this point i walked away with mixed feelings, thinking my bike will be the norm and its nice to be a bit different
to its got to be good for e-bike pricing, development and parts in the future .
