I think its a good idea to have all my batteries using the same connection type,
Currently im using both slotted bars connectors and gold pin connectors, with the modification of one battery and sled I can have all 3 using the same connector type. Providing me with spare/battery swap options.
Im looking for the downside but cant see it atm.. Im already at risk of plugging a 48v battery into a 36v only controller as these batteries already share the same connector type but am unlikely to make that error even if changing batteries in the pitch black.
If there is no glaringly damn good reason as to why not...
Is the gold pin connector the 'best' option??
What sort of soldering iron wattage is required to replace the connectors on a battery and sled? I have an iron capable of 50-60w output but currently its limited by a 30w psu..
And whats the game with ali express, i started searching before logging in, find a page of £1-2 options select one pair with free pnp, log in and all of a sudden the same item is £6 + £3 pnp?????
thats significantly more than a 20% vat charge and reasonable handling fee.. a £7+ price hike on what was a < £2 item!!
And now the same basic price as the ebay import from china option circa £9.hrmph!!.
