All the new Haibike sDuro 2015 electric bikes are now live on our site to view the full pricing and specifications.

The new sDuro Haibike electric bikes are focussed on the younger generation using the new Yamaha eBike system and come in at a lower price point for more price savvy eBikers.

Here is a quick low down of the range-

Haibike sDuro AllMtn RX 2015 £3699

Haibike sDuro AllMtn RC 2015 £3199

Haibike sDuro FullNine RC 2015 £2699

Haibike sDuro HardNine RC 2015 £2299

Haibike sDuro HardSeven SL 2015 £1849

Haibike Trekking RC Gents / Low 2015 £2399

Available in both Gents and Low frame variants.

Very excited about this new range and the latest Yamaha eBike system which has been developed further with Haibike over the past year or so.

Full write up, review, overview etc of the Yamaha system on my blog pages.
The bikes are now live with full specification / pictures etc on our site.

A very competitive range for 2015 available to pre-order today!

Regards
Martin

I'm sure these will go down a storm with the younger riders.
Although they look better value than the Bosch powered bikes, there still quite expensive bikes.
If the spec of the trekking model had been reduced a bit then it would be good competition for the Kalkhoff Agattu but at £2400 against £2100 for the bigger batteried Agattu, I don't think they'll attract many older road oriented e-cyclists.

Impressive looking range.
Price is still high and will have to compete against KTM
Looking forward to the reviews.

Martin, will you be doing the sDuro Cross? It'll be going head to head with the KTM eCross P at a virtually identical price I guess. The Haibikes are very stylish and the Yamaha system seems to be pretty impressive according to the initial reviews.

Hi Michael,

We won't be doing the Cross. The trekking and eMTB's are far more popular. Its also very similar price to both the Trekking RC and the HardNine RC which are more popular bikes and obviously the Trekking comes equipped for similar money.

That's a shame. The sDuro Cross goes up against the KTM eCross P, which it seems has sold pretty well here in the UK. In fact it is 100 euros cheaper than the RRP of the KTM, which ought to put the sDuro Cross at about the 2k GBP mark - a far more attractive proposition than £2,399 for the Trekking.

If an e-bike works for my commute then the sDuro Cross is a very strong contender indeed. Qualification for the "if" is the subject of another thread - see link here!

Hi,

Just to eliterate, in response to your other thread, when riding the prototype Yamaha system 2 weeks ago in germany I found it to cut out at approx 15.5mph but it did fade off to about 17.5mph until the power was noticeably not assisting.

It did seem to help keep topping up and just over the 15mph mark when pedalling at faster speeds.

Obviously we do our Yamaha tuning kit here.

But if you prefer to keep things legit on the road, it would only 'just' go up to your preferred 18mph assisted.

Hope this helps

That's good information Martin, thanks. If it's providing some assistance when cruising along at 17 it may well be sufficient.

Apologies for the thread derailment!

seen as it now seems its ok to advertise bikes on here ;) we'll step into show off some of our new wares too :)

But firstly the eCross P isn't a 2015 bikes, so you're comparing apples with oranges.

Our 2015 prices are cheaper than 2014, and we do Bosch, Shimano and Panasonic drive bikes.

Some bikes that are worth a look in comparison to the Yamaha bikes you've advertised.

KTM Macina Lycan Plus.

Bosch Performance Drive, Shimano XT bits etc £2899 RRP

KTM Macina Force (27.5 or 29 wheels)

Bosch Active drive with 400w battery £1699.99 RRP

KTM Macina Cross 9

Bosch Active line with 400w battery, lots of gents and ladies frame styes £1699.99 RRP

The eCross P isn't in the range for 2015 because we're doing Cross bikes in Bosch and Shimano drives.

To replace the eCross P, we'll be doing the eStreet P. Which is similar, but has the mudguards and lights fitted as stock.

KTM eStreet P

Personally I think the input of Shimano into the eBike market will have more impact that Yamaha, but we'll see.

The range of KTM with the Shimano Drive is called Ventura. They start from £1599.99

But I think our best seller will be this one.

The combination of eBike with Di2 shifting is amazing and at £1799 in gents or ladies frame styles, I think all our dealers will be wishing they'd order from us.

I don't mind where such announcement posts are, just so long as I can see them for the useful information they contain.

They are no more wrong and arguably less wrong than those giving information on making e-bikes illegal.

A little bit naughty your post Col.
But I must go look at the KTM,s in your thread as they are highly thought of by some people

it was a little bit naughty, yes, but it was only a tongue in cheek post to emphasis the advertising that was going on. And show how if one person starts it, it's a slippery slope.

and Wissy, yes I heard from David at Electrifying Cycles that there had been a problem with your Sram Dual Drive hub. This isn't a KTM part, so the bearing failure could happen to any brand using this component. As I understand Sram have agreed to replace the hub and David is just waiting for the tech information to ensure its replaced properly. The shop seem to be handling it perfectly so no need for us to step in as far as I can work out.
