No music, just native audio from the two on-board cameras, Veho Muvi HD 10 chest mounted, and the Koonlung wired bullet with remote DVR. Both cameras have full 1080 HD capability, but recording at 720p on this ride.

At the steepest part ( 18% ) the machine slowed to 8 mph. Interesting to note, my 26v Panasonic powered Kalkhoff Sahel climbs the steep part at 9 mph..as does the Tonaro BigHit. In the case of all three machines, I remained seated, this being my riding style. Those who like to jump up and down on the pedals will climb this hill faster. :D

Having now gained more experience with editing and uploading, the cameras will be switched up to full 1080 HD for future projects. Be careful with your volume level, there are some loud 'SPLOPS' as I pick up the Sou-Westerly at the top of the hill.

EDIT: Depending on the time of day, and your connection speed, the video is best watched in 720p HD. This can be selected in the 'quality' facility in the Youtube playing menu

It did seem very stable using the chest cam. editing was slick, and liked the text narrative did you use the windows movie maker or some other software?

Thanks jazper53.

I now use an additional elasticated strap on the chest harness, this holds the top of the breast-plate tighter to my chest.

Still using Windows Movie Maker Live at the moment, but will start using 'Wondershare Video Editor' soon.

Would be interesting to see how the Impulse drive performs on that hill, it has more oomph than the 26V Panasonic system so I think a decent 10mph or more should be possible.

Nice to see someone who knows what they're testing a bike for once! ;)

Nice one Bob, good to see Blunsdon Hill is now so quiet, it's like your private test track for e-bikes!

By the way, I saw someone on Sunday, in Lydiard Park, wooshed past me on a Scott mountain bike with a rear hub motor. Was that you?

Hi Waspy, no not me. Sunday I rode to Coate Water via Greenbridge. Had a cup of tea there and a natter to a couple riding old Powabyke Euros. Then returned home via Old Town, Mannington, Toothill and Barnfield.

I believe the machine you saw was powered by a Bionx kit supplied by Emotion EVC. But there is another Scott in Swindon powered by a front Cyclotricity kit fitted by the same shop. It just goes to show how important a dedicated electric bike shop is in promoting the activity...there's a lot of leccy bikes around Swindon now.
