Hi, I’ve just bought myself a second hand G-tech Escent hybrid. It’s fab!! But I fancy the battery life ain’t that great. How and where would I get a spare battery? Iv looked at all the google searches I can handle! The best iv come up with is eBay. Selling for around £250-£300 second hand.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I’m a complete Newb. Sorry

Thank you very much.

Hi great mtb good components etc but comes with fairly low range. Owned one for a while once managed 18 miles 1000ft elevation and had 41% left but that was pushing hard. Someone mentioned a guy up grades batteries and can add 33% to your range. Think he said approx £160. Might be a cheaper/better option. Dig around for posts concerning your bike. Enjoy ebikeing

That sounds great!! Definitely better than lugging another battery around with me. I’ll get on it now.
Thank you very much!

Go to Jimmy at ebikebatteries.co.uk (give him a ring , number on his website) he is familiar with GTECH batteries and can recell your current case with better new cells and give you about 30% more capacity for much less then a new GTECH battery. The BMS comms is a bit different in those batteries which he can keep alive and reuse it, he will include pick and delivery by a courier
