Hello Everyone,
I came across this forum whilst searching for ebike conversion kits. I’m thinking of adding one to my Orange 5 full sus MTB. I’m looking forward to finding answers!
cheers
John

If you could fit a bottom bracket motor, you should go for it.
what kind of bottom bracket do you have on your Orange 5?

Hi,
Thanks for the reply, it’s a conventional BB shell, 73MM, 24MM axle and a BS thread I think. It does have attachment for a chain device, I don’t know if the mid motor devices have a fitting for that. The trouble will be, I think, that there isn’t much space in the frame triangle because of the rear shock.

that's not a big problem, you can have a saddle bag battery like this:

They are available in either 36V 15AH or 48V 10AH. Both give about 50 miles from a full charge and weigh just under 2kgs.
(The connectors are normally kept inside the bag)
