Another puncture!!

I can't believe it. I got another puncture on the way home tonight. Yesterday was a piece of glass, today a large nail which went through the tread and out through the side wall.

I ordered a Marathon Plus from Halfords yesterday but it won't be here for a week, so I've bought a Continental Travel Contact today (Continentals Puncture resistant tyre). I'll fit the Marathon plus to the other wheel when it arrives.

I doubt even the Marathons would survive a large nail so it's probably just as well you hadn't fitted it yet.

I've just read the guarantee card that came with the Continental Travel Contact. If you get a puncture within 12months of purchase, you can take it back to the dealer who will replace the tyre and inner tube free of charge.

Sounds good to me. The tyre was £19.99 from halfords and comes with inner tube.
