I think the Milton Keynes concrete cows will baffle some of our overseas members John. Perhaps you'd better explain why they are there. :)

OK Flecc,
I expect ridicule from UK members, but the populace of MK are well used to it along with jibes about roundabouts, like no other town has them!

Rather than me explain please see the following link if you really want to know the history of Concrete Cows - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Today was the first time in the 23 years I have lived here that I have had a close up look at 'the cows', and in my opinion, they are disappointing crude in contrast to the Torq Trekking:rolleyes:

True John, and hardly justified when we have a multiple roundabout complex in Surrey named the "Scilly Isles", there being so many components to it, and Swindon has the notorious "magic roundabout" system. Other examples are too numerous to mention.

Paul,

How does your Torq 2 perform derestricted, range and speed? I think I will leave mine restricted for the time being in the belief that it will have a greater range.
I will be keeping this one and the Kalkhoffs for the foreseeable future.
Maybe I should contact EBA (Electric Bikes Anonymous) to get some help with my obsession:rolleyes:

It will easily do 19/ 20mph even on slight inclines, that would drop the restricted bike to 12/13mph,but it seems to make little difference on steeper hills, range wise i do not know as i try to use full power very sparingly and only have a short commute,it does make a noticeable difference to the power meter,it spends far more time in the red and i am sure it would shoten the range considerablly, but it is a real boys toy derestricted, i am planning to fit a switch to my bike to allow derestriction when i want it,and to make sure i do not use full power when i do not wish to,it is a very fine line on the throttle and almost impossible to tell apart in the dark.

Torq Fully Sorted

My Torq is now complete and performing perfectly.
This morning I received a parcel from 50cycles containing a new Prowheel 52T crankset, pedals, chain, a set of panniers and couple of bike covers.

This was to compensate for the missing parts and faulty charger. I feel 50c have dealt with this issue very fairly and would like to thank Mark Hubbard, Workshop Manager who has been very helpful on a couple of occasions now.
