Ok, if it's that bad it just comes with me everywhere. I'll still carry the lock for use where I'm in earshot because any thieving WILL sound the alarm. And if the thief's going to disable ME well, there's not a lot I can do then, is there?

/Me Google's to see if riders are ever dragged from their bikes by thieves who make off with the bike.... Scarry thought
If you think about how easy it is to knock someone off an ebike... All it takes is one well timed shove to the body or kick to the front wheel, and you're on the ground experiencing a few seconds of shock, while the mechanics of various robbery options play out - a £5k-ish bike like that would gain the robber a thousand or two in cash somewhere, even without a charger.

that's true for the latest state of the art MTB, and roadbikes to a lesser extent, but the average robber doesn't know what a Gocycle is because it looks a bit like a toy bike.
