Gocycle G1 Controller Wanted

As per the thread title. I have a really old Gocycle G1 and the controller has packed up. Gocycle cant help. Would anyone have one lying around they want to sell, or can recommend somewhere to get the controller fixed? Seems such a shame to ditch such an expensive bit of kit... Thanks!

Pics attached. Sorry I dont have it to hand to take decent ones, but hopefully these are enough. The controller is thin and goes down the front fork to the front hub motor.

That's a bespoke item. I'm surprised Gocycle can't help you because you won't get one anywhere else. Who did you talk to at Gocycle?

I've spent weeks back and forth with the support guys at Gocycle, even sent the old one to them to check over. They simply said because of its age they don't have spares, so need to hunt for one online, nowt on eBay so thought I'd try here.

Me too, and disappointed at no unique spare for such an expensive e-bike still on sale less than 9 years ago when the G2 was introduced.

There are so many onerous caveats in Gocycle's conditions of sale and warranty, I'm surprised you'd be able to ride it at all without breaching their definition of permitted use.

I like the bit that says it's only designed for "simple riding... in fair weather"!

Thanks for the link.

The second pedelec I bought had a warning in its manual, "Must not be ridden in rain".

Did make me wonder why they were exporting it to Britain.

If a controller can't be sorted may be time to think of other possibilities to keep it working.

Not that im any kind of expert, but the board doesnt look too complicated. Might take it to an electronics shop see if they can repair it. btw - Go offered a 20% discount on a new model if I send in the old G1... How kind of them!?!
