Hi @saneagle yes I did come across that link. It could be the part needed but if so how do I go about disassembling the motor to replace the old part with new? I asked this question on Disassembling a giant twist kite 36volt motor | Pedelecs - Electric Bike Community and @thelarkbox mentioned the 'slide hammer' tool .

Ideally I could do with how to videos or pages but cant seem to find much online on these motor types of which the etched details on them read:

Working motor : "wok DLK 074-6092 120831" and

Non working motor: "wok DLK 074-6077 131118"

I can't see a slide-hammer working. I'd use a three legged puller.
