It's got a direct drive motor that's why it's heavy.I took a good look at a Specialized turbo in a shop today. I'll upload the photos when I get back into the country, but what I will say is that it is stunning and well finished bike, but I was very disappointed with how heavy that it felt when I picked it up. Given the cost, it would have been enough to put me off ever owning one, had I been looking to buy. My Neo Xtrem is far lighter!
HI Eddie
Thanks a lot. Where did you try it?
Is it a Turbo or Turbo S your are refering?

It's worth signing a waiver and having the speed limit changed for off road testing purposesIt was the Specialized concept store off the M32 near Ikea...£3000
I did actually have to take the bike back as the forks got stuck..all was fixed and while I was there I did ask them to remove restriction, which they politely declined! I do need to go back again as the forks were marginally damaged when they fixed them ,so they have offered to replace forks...so when I go back for this, I will take in my waiver form and have another go !!!It's worth signing a waiver and having the speed limit changed for off road testing purposes
