Geared hub vs Mid drive to the top of Moel Famau and King Georges tower.

For rides like that, a slower wound hub-motor would be better. At 40 amps, something like 240 rpm would work really well. What speed and voltage does it have?

Its a geared hub..it would be nice if you could buy a 7:1 ratio instead of 5:1, field weakening would get you back to 30mph

201rpm with 12:1 ratio should be good to go, as vfr has said hub RPM winding is important

Ive akways ran the fatbike hub, even on standard frames.
At 45 amps its a cracking drive and will climb like a beast...but that was with a 24x3 tyre, the 26 fatties are much bigger tyres.
I suppose you could run a 20 and climb anything.
