Gear Puller for Rear Hub - What Size?

My rear hub is approx 24cm in diameter = 9.5 inches, can I use a 8inch gear puller (pictured) or does the inches they are quoted as mean the max diameter they open to?

Does anyone here have a gear puller that would fit that size of hub (1500W), if so what size is it?

If in a wheel plank on the floor to protect the axle end and stand on it.

The above pictured tool could be modded a couple of ways, 1) source longer connecting stamped plates, or 2) drill new pivot holes in the arms.. I would go for #1 and try using a few 100mm steel L plates i have kicking about
