Does anyone have any recommendations for a front light that uses the Bafang 6v wiring supplied on recent models? I'm looking for something that will be used primarily in lit areas but includes a few miles of unlit country roads.
For lights to be seen by and the rear light, these are all you need. They're exceptionally bright and are nearly as cheap to buy as the batteries. They're so small and light that you can carry a spare pare in case they get nicked. I leave mine on the bike all the time, and nobody has thought to nick them yet. If you search, you can get the pair for half that price from China, so I bought three pairs at the same time, though I'm still on my first pair:
Should have said, ideally for mounting on front fork on the mudguard central mounting point. Do ether of the options shown have this as an option or are they handlebar mounting only
Some brackets used to attach the light to the front forks failed due to the constant vibration. I got a stainless steel small piece of flat bar 2mm thick and bent and drilled it to fit a Sahara Sailor light.
This light which is as good as the Sailor is one I've just bought with a USB connector which if you cut the wire is just a red & black pair. Says it's 5,000LM maybe ... but it's ok and it costs £4. It can't fit anywhere other than the handlebar and it has 3 modes full, half and flashing.
