French State subsidises eBikes

What a brilliant idea, I wonder if it has come from the EU or just a French initiative.

From what I can tell the subsidy is based on 20% of the Ebikes value, capped at 200€ which is a nice discount on a 2000€ ebike if taken to the max or beyond.

Of course if such a subsidy was introduced into the UK, the dealers would just put up ebike prices accordingly, which is probably what will happen in France as well.

No chance here in the UK, not only was the subsidy only for Electric and Hybrid cars at £5000, the government has now slashed it to £4500 for electric, £2500 for plug-in hybrids.

It's all about government cost cutting now.

6000 € cars

I don't know if you can accumulate with local subsidies: Nantes 300 € for example. That would mean 500 € off your typical Bosch or Yamaha powered bike.
