Freehub replacement

Hi its the first time I have tried using a forum, not sure if I am doing this right but here goes! I am looking for some advise on replacing a freehub on a rear Suntour HESC drive. I have just purchased a second hand Carrera Vulcan E spec which I was assured had no problems but sure enough on the very first ride it became apparent that the freehub was shot resulting in sometimes getting spinning pedals but no drive. I have removed the rear cassette to expose the freehub but have no idea how to free it from the motor?? There is a plate that has six screws on the outside diameter and another six screws around the freehub but it appears the freehub is bolted on the inside of the plate and the plate forms the side of the motor which I am reluctant to take apart as I have no experience of these. I am not afraid to get in there if I need to but want to make sure I'm not going to ruin it by doing so. Also does anyone know where to purchase a replacement freehub from? The cassette I removed was a Shimano one. If anyone can shed some light on this I would be very grateful as I'm hoping I haven't just wasted a sizable chunk of money.
Cheers

Before attempting to remove it, get yourself a can of 3-in-1 oil. It's important that you get that type of oil. Place the wheel on the ground with the free-hub upwards and squirt a fair amount of oil into the free-hub in the centre close to the axle. At the same time, or once some oil has entered, turn the free-hub backwards and forward. There's a fair chance that the pawls will free up and start working normally.

There was a recent thread about the hall sensors in the motor, where a guy completely disassembled the motor with photos, but it doesn't show the actual free-hub. If you message him, maybe he will describe how it comes off.

Some freehubs are an integral part of the side plate and cannot be removed, the Aikema 128c is the same but luckily we know where to get spares for the Aikema from but no idea with the suntour.

Thanks for your replies it's much appreciated, since posting my question I decided to get back in touch with the guy who sold me the bike and managed to get it out of him that he knew about the issue with the freehub and as such he has agreed to refund me and take the bike back, lucky escape on my part for sure! Now thinking of spending a bit more and going for a Rockrider E-ST 900 from Decathlon if they ever get them back in stock! :D
Cheers and thanks again

The freehub just pulls off once you remove the nut holding it on the spindle. The later model suntour motors you have to remove the side plate off the motor aswell.
